Austria, the land of mountains. This is especially true in the west of the country, which is dominated by the Alps. The highest mountains in Austria can be found here, with numerous untouched high alpine habitats. Chamois, marmots, eagles and vultures can be observed here. Shaped by the element of water and millennia-old glaciers, impressive trough valleys, deep gorges, Europe's most powerful waterfalls, small mountain lakes, but also large pre-alpine lakes emerged. Centuries-old traditions also gave rise to species-rich, natural cultural landscapes. We will explore all of these fascinating habitats on our unique nature journey. As always, we don't just visit the famous natural classics. We will also take you to our favorite places and insider tips. Thanks to the excellent hiking trails and cozy mountain huts, we can also easily explore and enjoy these natural gems.
We start with an excursion into the Rhine delta on Lake Constance, explore the last wild river in the northern Alps, and cycle to perhaps the most beautiful lake in Tyrol. In addition, we let ourselves be enchanted by the world-famous Krimml waterfalls, or take our breath away by the panoramas on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. We discover the Hohe Tauern National Park in East Tyrol and Carinthia, hike through the valley of the vultures in Salzburg and explore the Rauris "primeval forest". All this and a lot more in a small group of max. 8 participants, led by highly qualified biologists or wilderness guides.
