According to the latest WWF study, no other forest area in Austria has a greater wilderness potential than this near-natural alpine valley in the north of Styria. That is why it is at the center of future WWF wilderness protection efforts and is now to be made accessible to an interested public.
On this excursion with a WWF focus, we explore the natural treasures of this unique habitat together with the biologist and wilderness guide Bernd Pfleger. We hike through wild gorges and old forests, explore natural caves and deserted plateaus. We enjoy wide views, read traces and interpret natural sounds. Since this weekend tour is carried out in a small group with a maximum of 8 participants, the chances of spotting wild animals are not bad. We travel there by minibus and spend the night in a small private guesthouse on site.
